American Eel Documentary Excerpt: Pat McGee Interview

An interview with Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management's Pat McGee about the American Eel. Nearly invisible unless you know how to look for them, the American Eel has been one of the most plentiful residents of New England's aquatic ecosystems, but dams, pollution, climate change and poaching have caused population numbers to nosedive. Pat shows us how the Department of Environmental Management surveys eel populations through their glass eel survey station in Saunderstown.

Made as part of an upcoming documentary about the American Eel.
